My name is Jim Hopson, and I’ve been working in Texas real estate since 1991. But my understanding of the system goes far beyond traditional buying and selling.

Before becoming a full-time broker, I served as a licensed property tax appraiser inside the county system. I saw firsthand how mass valuations are generated, how assessments are often inflated, and how little recourse most homeowners have unless they know how to fight back.

That experience changed the way I do business.

I made it my mission to not only help people buy and sell property—but also to teach them how to protect their investment from unnecessary tax burdens.

Over the years, I’ve helped clients protest unfair property tax assessments, reduce their annual bills, and understand the valuation process in plain English. My background gives me a unique advantage: I’ve worked inside the system, and I know exactly how to navigate it from the outside.
